A certificate of insurance shows that you have coverage. Landlords, customers and lenders often ask for one.
What we need from you
- The certificate holder’s full name and address
- The job, lease or contract the certificate is for
- Any required wording, such as additional insured status, waiver of subrogation or primary and non-contributory language
- The contract page that lists the requirements, if you have it
Good to know
- Request early. Some requirements need a policy endorsement, which takes longer than a certificate
- A certificate does not change what your policy covers
- If your policy cannot meet a requirement, we will tell you before the deadline
General information only. Actual coverage depends on your policy, and coverage is not in force until confirmed in writing by the agency.
